Dr. Lance

I was born and raised in Vienna Virginia where most of my family currently reside, so my life is centered around my family and friends. I am also an animal lover, and enjoy spoiling my pet minirex rabbit, Alice! When I’m not constructing cardboard castles for Alice to play with, I enjoy attempting to teach her new tricks like shaking or twirling for food. As a self-declared food lover, I enjoy expanding my palate by indulging in the numerous restaurant varieties that the DMV area has to offer! I’ll be the first to pass fine dining restaurant for a good ol’ fashion seafood broil anytime though!

Growing up reading and watching superheroes from Marvel and DC comics to seeing major protagonists such as Goku and Naruto from Japanese animated films, I strongly believe the lasting effect having a positive role model as a child can be (even if they are fictional characters). I carry this belief forward into every aspect of my life including dentistry! I strive to give every child I see a positive experience that we’ll hopefully only leave fond memories in your child’s future!

My passion for healthcare stems from my desire to build relationships through empathy and respect for my patients in order to better educate and improve my patients physical and mental health. I believe that every child has their own unique individuality and needs which is why I enjoy getting to know each one on a personal level to allow me to help improve their quality of life.

We here at Smilez are always keeping the health and well-being of your child in mind, which is why our team is committed to ensuring you and your family are treated with respect in an honest and welcoming environment.

My journey into dentistry started during my undergrad while I was obtaining my Biomedical Engineering degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). After obtaining my Bachelors of Science, I obtained my DDS degree from VCU School of Dentistry, where I graduated with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Predoctoral Student Award and the Academy of Dental Materials Award. After finishing dental school, I continued my education in Tampa Florida where I received my certificate in pediatric dentistry from NYU Langone Hospitals-Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry. During my residency, I had the opportunity to work with Suncoast Community Health Center, Tampa General Hospital, and South Florida Baptist Hospital. I also had the honor of serving as chief resident throughout my second year.
